🌱 Growing Strawberries
Strawberries are one of the easiest fruits to grow, even for beginners. They thrive in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil, rewarding growers with abundant fruit from spring through summer.
For best results, plant them in raised beds or pots to prevent soggy roots. Water regularly but avoid overwatering, as strawberries dislike wet feet. Feed with a potassium-rich fertiliser during flowering to encourage healthy growth and abundant fruit.
Prune the runners if you want bigger, juicier berries. With the right care, a single strawberry plant can produce fruit for several years, offering a sweet harvest season after season.

🍓 Harvesting
Strawberries usually begin to fruit from spring through summer, rewarding you with bright red, glossy berries. The best time to pick them is in the cool of the morning, when the fruit is firm and full of flavour. Gently twist or cut the berries from the stem to avoid bruising, and enjoy them fresh straight from the garden or chilled in the fridge. A freshly picked strawberry is one of the true joys of home gardening.
